Terms & Conditions for ScanX
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Overview
ScanX helps users scan, import, enhance, organize, save, export, and share documents. These Terms explain the rules and conditions for using the app.
Document Responsibility
You are responsible for the documents, images, text, and other content you scan, import, store, export, or share through the app.
You must have the necessary ownership, permission, or legal authority to scan, process, store, or share any document through ScanX.
Scanned and Imported Content
Documents may contain personal, confidential, financial, legal, medical, identification, or other sensitive information. You are responsible for deciding whether ScanX is appropriate for processing a particular document.
You should protect your device, exported files, and stored documents from unauthorized access.
OCR and Scan Accuracy
ScanX may provide document detection, image enhancement, optical character recognition, text extraction, or other automated features.
Results may be incomplete or inaccurate because of image quality, handwriting, lighting, document layout, language, camera movement, or other factors.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying scanned documents and extracted information before relying on, submitting, printing, exporting, or sharing them.
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using ScanX, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ScanX for personal or business purposes in accordance with these Terms and applicable app store rules.
User Responsibilities
You agree to use ScanX lawfully, protect your account and device, maintain appropriate backups, and avoid misuse, reverse engineering, abuse, unauthorized access, or interference with the app or its systems.
Document Storage and Backups
Documents may be stored locally on your device or through supported third-party services, depending on the features you use.
Locally stored documents may be lost if you delete ScanX, clear application data, reset or lose your device, or experience a device or storage failure.
You are responsible for keeping independent backups of important documents. ScanX should not be treated as a permanent backup service unless a specific backup feature is expressly provided.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Some features may require payment, a subscription, credits, or an in-app purchase.
Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are managed through the applicable app store or payment provider unless otherwise stated.
Deleting ScanX does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions must be managed through your app store account settings.
Third-Party Services
ScanX may integrate with third-party services, websites, APIs, cloud-storage providers, payment platforms, OCR services, or artificial-intelligence services.
We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, accuracy, content, terms, or privacy practices.
Sharing and Exporting
ScanX may allow you to export or share documents through other apps, cloud-storage services, printers, email, messaging platforms, or other destinations.
Once content is shared or exported, it may be handled according to the terms and privacy practices of the receiving service. You are responsible for choosing the correct recipient and sharing destination.
Intellectual Property
ScanX, including its name, design, software, features, graphics, content, and related materials, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may not copy, modify, sell, distribute, reverse engineer, reproduce, or commercially exploit any part of the app without permission.
Prohibited Use
You may not use ScanX to violate applicable laws or regulations, scan or process documents without authorization, commit fraud, forgery, impersonation, or identity theft, create or distribute deceptive or unlawful documents, infringe privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, or contractual rights, distribute malware or harmful content, bypass security, payment, subscription, or usage restrictions, scrape, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the app or its systems, or engage in fraudulent, harmful, abusive, or deceptive activity.
Disclaimer
ScanX is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, permanent document availability, accurate OCR results, specific outcomes, or that the app will meet every personal, professional, legal, financial, or regulatory requirement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, lost-profit, or data-loss damages arising from the use of ScanX.
We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate scans, OCR errors, deleted documents, failed exports, device problems, third-party services, unauthorized access, or failure to maintain backups.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Continued use of ScanX after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
